What I Actually Recommend

No sponsorship deals decide what goes on this page. This is the exact stack I take every day as a surgeon — the same one published in my free protocol — plus how I decide what earns a spot: test with labs, supplement what’s actually low, then retest.

WHY YOU CAN TRUST THIS PAGE

Everything listed here is something I personally take, at the exact doses published in my free protocol. If you buy through links on this page, The Private Practice may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you — it helps fund the free videos and guides I publish every week. I will never recommend a product I don’t use myself.

What I Take Every Day

Seven supplements, chosen on evidence and verified with my own blood work. The full reasoning, dosing, and what I deliberately avoid are in the protocol.

01

Vitamin D3 + K2

5,000 IU D3 + 100mcg K2 (MK-7) · morning, with a fat-containing meal

Over 40% of American adults are Vitamin D deficient and most never find out, because standard blood work rarely checks it. The K2 directs calcium to your bones and teeth instead of your arteries.

02

Magnesium Glycinate

400mg · before bed

I choose the glycinate form for its superior bioavailability — without the GI distress oxide and citrate often cause. Taken at night because magnesium also supports healthy sleep architecture.

03

Omega-3 Fish Oil

2,000mg combined EPA + DHA · daily

The anti-inflammatory properties of Omega-3s are supported by hundreds of clinical trials. I only use products third-party tested for heavy metals and oxidation.

04

Creatine Monohydrate

5g · daily, no loading phase

One of the most researched supplements in existence. Beyond strength and performance, emerging research supports cognitive function, neuroprotection, and cellular energy.

05

Ashwagandha KSM-66

600mg · daily

My adaptogen of choice — the KSM-66 extract has the most clinical evidence for cortisol reduction and stress resilience, across multiple randomized controlled trials.

06

NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine)

600mg · twice daily

The glutathione precursor in my regimen. Glutathione is the body’s master antioxidant, and NAC is the most effective way to raise levels naturally.

07

CoQ10 (Ubiquinol)

200mg · daily

Essential for mitochondrial energy production and a powerful antioxidant for cardiovascular health. Natural production declines with age — especially worth considering if you take a statin.

Test, Don’t Guess

Nothing earns a spot on this page from marketing. The loop is simple: run the right labs, supplement only what’s actually low, then retest to confirm it worked. If you want to understand the “why” behind each pick — and what I refuse to take — start with the full protocol or browse the Health Hub by topic.
